Why Soulflow

More personal coaching,
built around the day

Soulflow is a more personal way to surf Bali shaped around your level, the conditions, and the kind of session you actually need.

Built around your level

Every session is shaped around the surfer in front of us.

Tangkius “Tank” is the founder and head coach behind SoulFlow Surf Bali.

Originally from Nias Island, one of Indonesia’s most iconic surf destinations, Tank has been surfing since childhood and competing since the age of 16. His surf career includes placing Top 4 in Indonesia at Quiksilver King of the Groms 2004, competing in the Indonesia Surfing Championship Tour, and receiving support from brands including Quiksilver, Rusty, Carve, and many local brands.

With over 20 years of experience in Bali, Tank has surfed, guided, and coached across Bali, Java, Sumatra, Nias, Lombok, and beyond. He has worked with surf businesses including Rusty, Rapture, and Baru Surf, built and owned one of Kuta’s long-running surf camp operations.

Today, his experience shapes the way SoulFlow teaches: patient, detail-oriented, personal, and focused on real progress. Every session is built around your level, confidence, ocean knowledge, and the conditions of the day.

"Surfing is not just about standing up. It is about learning how to read the ocean, understand yourself, build confidence, and connect your technique with the flow of the wave. That’s what SoulFlow is about."
